When installing EventSentry, I get the following error message: Error 27519. Error updating XML file C:\Program Files\EventSentry\WebReportsConfig.xml. -2147024891.

This error is usually displayed when you are upgrading an earlier version of EventSentry or when installing on a computer where EventSentry has previously been uninstalled.

Error -2147024891 indicates "Access Denied", and the file attributes for the file C:\Program Files\EventSentry\WebReportsConfig.xml need to be adjusted.

In the command prompt, run the following command:

attrib -R -S -H C:\Program Files\EventSentry\WebReportsConfig.xml

and make sure that neither the ReadOnly, System or Hidden attribute is set on this file. Then, restart the installation.
