Starting with version 3.0, performance counters can now also be configured to retrieve information via SNMP.

With new installations, the "Performance System" system health package is already pre-configured to include both Windows performance counter information as well as SNMP OIDs for most counters.

If you are upgrading from version 2.93 (or earlier) however, you will need to manually configure the performance counters and add the SNMP information.

In the management console, expand the "System Health Packages" and locate the "Performance System" package, expand & select the object to view all configured performance counters.

When you are done, don't forget to assign the "Performance System" package to the network devices you wish to monitor.

Follow the steps below to add SNMP information to the "CPU" counter:

  1. Double-click the "CPU" counter
  2. Change the "Windows Counter" to "SNMP Counter". This will let you provide SNMP information in addition to the Windows counter.
  3. In the counter field specify 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.9.0+1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.10.0
  4. Click OK.

Repeat the steps above for the following counters and use the respective SNMP counter:

Page File Usage
100-(1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.4.4.0/1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.4.3.0*100)

System Memory
1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.4.6.0/1024

System Memory Percent Free
1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.4.6.0

Also configure this counter to "Divide /" by a 2nd counter 1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.4.5.0 and check the "Use multipler" check box and enter 100 for the multiplier.

Network Bandwidth
This counter can be configured to support either SNMP v1 or SNMP v2c/v3. If you would like to support both SNMP versions then you will need to use variables.

SNMP v1
Primary: 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10+1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16
Instances: 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2
Divide By: 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.5*2
Multiply By: 800

SNMP v2c/v3
Primary: 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.6+1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.10
Instances: 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.1
Divide By: 1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.15*2000000
Multiple By: 800
