I am unable to remove the EventSentry trial license key when trying to switch from the Trial version of EventSentry to the full version. When I click to remove the trial license it is not removed, and when I try to add the full license it requires that the trial license by removed.

This is a bug in EventSentry version 2.60. Please follow these steps to remove the trial license manually:

  1. Close the EventSentry Management Application
  2. Open the registry editor regedit.exe
  3. Navigate to the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\netikus.net\EventSentry
  4. Delete the registry subkey "License" (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\netikus.net\EventSentry\License)
  5. Launch the EventSentry Management Application. You will now be prompted to enter a new license key.

Please remember to perform a remote agent update after entering the full license by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to Tools -> Options -> Remote Update
  2. Make sure that "Also update configuration when updating remote agents" is checked
  3. Right-click the "Groups" or the "Computers" container
  4. Select "Manage Agent(s) -> Update"
