Heartbeat Status Warning - Agent Error

on the main system (where EventSentry is installed) I get an warning in the web dashboard since the second day after installation. Can you give me a hint, how I can fix this?

Hostname    Status    Agent    Ping    Tcp    Details
MFW2K12S    WARNING    ERROR    OK    n/a    The specified service does not exist as an installed service.

This message simply means that the EventSentry agent, which is requires on Windows-base systems, is not installed on the remote host. You can install the agent using the management console in a few seconds:

  1. Open the EventSentry Management Console
  2. Locate the computer in its group under "Computer Groups" in the left pane
  3. Click the computer
  4. Select "Deploy Agent" from the ribbon
  5. Click "Go"

You can also install the agent with an MSI installer or with a remote update command line utility.

Thank you for your help, but the problem is, it's not a remote system, it's the main system where EventSentry is installed.
It always says: "Skipping local host" when I want to install the agent.
On the web dashboard it always shows this error (see my above post).

That's interesting, the agent is always installed on the local host by default - I'm not sure why it would be missing. The local agent has to be installed differently, please follow these steps to install it:

Open the management console
Click on "Services"
Click on "Install" in the "Agent" section
When prompted for a directory, point it to the directory where EventSentry is installed (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\EventSentry)
