I receive the message 'Unable to start service'

To whom it may concern,

I am attempting to activate the GW-IP Monitor but on attempting to 'start the service' from the toolbar icon but receive the message ''Unable to start service. Please consult the eventlog for more information', unfortunately I am unable to locate this file.

I have setup and can confirm other areas such as sending of email is successful, just simply that I cannot start the 'service'

I have Gateway IP Monitor v1.40 running on a pc running windows 7

Any help, greatly appreciated,

ps I use to run it on a pc and windows xp and all was good

Hello Kevyn,

Gateway IP Monitor is tested and working on windows 7 x64, so something else its happening here. To know what, we need extra information thru evenlog. To do that, we go to Start and write on search box "Event". The first result will be "Event Viewer", here an screenshot for your guide:

Inside Event Viewer, from the left tree we go to Windows Log/System. 

You should see under "level"  column an Error, clicking on it you should check if it referes to Gateway Ip Monitor, and then pleas share the error with us so we can see what the problem could be. Here a second screenshot for guidance:
