Temperature and Humidity Monitoring

Using temperature and humidity sensors connected to the serial port of a computer, EventSentry can monitor the temperature and/or humidity and notify you when the temperature or humidity exceed or fall below a preset limit.

In a nutshell, temperature/humidity monitoring offers the following features:

Thermometer
  • Notifies you by any of the support notifications methods (e.g. email) when the current measurement exceeds or falls below your limit
  • Writes a history of temperature and/or humidity to a database, also support MS Access for small installations
  • Offers web reports with graphical charts for review, presentation or trend analysis

We offer a temperature-only sensor, humidity-only sensors and combi sensors measuring both the temperature and humidity. The sensors are for indoor use, are connected to the serial port and draw power through the USB port.

You can be notified through any of the supported notifications Event Sentry Notifications methods since alerts are logged to the event log. For example, you can receive an email or network message when a temperature sensor reports a temperature that's too high.

Event Sentry Environment Charts The temperature and humidity chart shows you a history of temperature and/or humidity as reported by a host (sensor). The reporting feature supports both Fahrenheit and Celsius when viewing temperature trends.

Other chart features like reporting over certain time periods make this reporting tool very useful when monitoring temperature and humidity.
