EventSentry is the proactive, real-time monitoring solution that watches over your servers, workstations and network devices to ensure maximum availability and that also helps with SOX, HIPAA and other compliance requirements.

With EventSentry you can consolidate and monitor event logs in real-time as well as monitor performance, disk space, services, processes and software/hardware installations on servers and workstations. Additional features include temperature & humidity monitoring, motion/smoke/water detection, process, logon and print tracking for audit purposes and open-source web reports which ship in multiple languages including English, French, German, Portuguese, Japanese and Korean.

Do not think that all these monitoring features will have an impact on your servers or workstations performance! The EventSentry agents (developed in C++) run as services on the monitored hosts and have little to no impact on monitored systems and do not require you to install additional software (DLLs, OCXs, drivers etc.) on your servers and/or workstations.

By using agents we avoid the regular polling of event logs and system information from one central computer, thus saving network bandwidth and CPU time on the monitored machines. This also means that you do not need to install a central monitoring component on your network (more information).

To further conserve bandwidth on locations connected through slower WAN links, you can configure EventSentry to collect and send notifications during low-traffic periods with its unique summary notification feature.

Comparing EventSentry

There are plenty of network, server and event log monitoring products on the market today, and so the question is obvious: How do EventSentry and NETIKUS.NET compare with other vendors and network monitoring solutions? 1. Free Support & Updates for one full year: Unlike many other vendors we offer free telephone and email support for one full year after the date of purchase. Free updates include all releases of the version you purchased (e.g. if you purchase v2.70, then you can upgrade to v2.80 for free) and not just bug fix releases. 2. Open Standards: The EventSentry web reports and the underlying database model are open source. This makes it easy to customize the web reports that ship with EventSentry and/or develop custom applications, reports and scripts that link to the EventSentry reporting database.

3. Quality Assurance for the lifetime of the product: If you find a bug in EventSentry, even after your support and updates have expired, we will send you a fix or a new version at no charge.

4. Affordable Prices: All of our software products are reasonably priced, and to make things even better we offer a free but limited edition of EventSentry called EventSentry Light. We also offer additional discounts for non-profit and educational institutions.

5. Extended Trial Period: We have seen trial periods as short as two weeks, but how can you evaluate a complex software product in just 15 days? 6. Fast and Professional Support: We do not use this phrase lightly. We do offer exceptionally fast and efficient support and solve most support issues in less than one hour; more complex scenarios (e.g. fixing bugs) can take ~48 hours.
