Using Filter Timers

Filter Timer (Step 4 of 5)

Setting the Timer

At this point we need to go back to the Spooler Stop filter and click the Timers tab. There we enable the timer, set the timeout period to 1 minute, and specify the filter that will clear Spooler Stop notification.

Please note that the timeout value will delay the alert regardless whether it is cleared or not. For example, if you set the timeout value to 30 minutes and the filter was not cleared, then you will receive the alert 30 minutes delayed, after the timeout period has elapsed.

Enable Timer

From the "Filter Selection" list we select the Spooler Start filter, since an event indicating that the service started should clear the alert.
