You can configure EventSentry to ignore specific services to prevent unnecessary alerts. Please note that excluding a service via the System Health settings will also prevent that service from being tracked in the Web Reports. If you still wish to see the service status in your reports but simply want to suppress the alerts, it is preferable to add and exclusion filter instead.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Open the EventSentry Management Console.
  2. Navigate to: Packages -> System Health -> Service Monitoring -> Services
  3. Ensure the option "Monitor & alert on all services, exclude listed" is selected (this is the default setting).
  4. Click the (+) icon in the list of services.
  5. Enter the Service Key Name or select it from the dropdown list if available.
  6. Save the configuration to apply the changes.

Note on Service Visibility: Not all services will automatically appear in the dropdown menu, as the list is only pre-populated with services installed on the local machine. If the service you wish to exclude does not appear, simply type or paste the Service Key Name exactly as it appears in the alert and click OK.
