Backup (Step 2 of 6)

Before upgrading any piece of software it is always a good idea to backup the configuration and all associated critical data, just in case something unforeseen goes wrong.

Export Configuration

To export the configuration, select File -> Export. This will store the configuration in a .reg file that can be imported at a later time using the EventSentry Management Console or the Microsoft Registry Editor.

Web Reports Configuration

To make a backup of the web reports configuration, simply navigate to the EventSentry installation directory and make a copy of the WebReportsConfig.xml and WebReportsUsers.xml files.
